The Sport Methodology LAB (SML) continues to deploy its activity on the ground. After defining the project's master lines, this week it was time to get down to the pitch (and the classroom) with the Getxo Rugby coaching staff.
Target: The Grassroots (U-14)
The meeting brought together coaches from all youth categories up to U-14. That is, the heart of the school stage. During the session, work focused on:
- The session model: How training must be structured to guarantee learning.
- Unification of criteria: Ensuring a 10-year-old child receives the same messages and values as a 14-year-old.
Technology at the Service of the Coach
It wasn't just about theory. The LAB team trained the coaches on using digital methodological tools that will allow them to plan the season, design drills, and track players professionally and simply.
With this session, Getxo Rugby and the SML take a giant step: moving from having "many coaches" to having "one single team" with a common methodology.
